Privacy policy.

Short version: we collect what you send us, we use it to reply, and we don't sell it or track you around the internet.

Who we are

Forgentix Ltd ("we", "us") is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17235330. Our registered office is 167–169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF.

We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For anything to do with your data, contact forgentix@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you use the contact form

We collect what you type into it:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your company name, if you give one
  • The message you write

When you visit the site

Our hosting provider records standard technical information — IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps — in server logs. This is a normal part of operating a website and is used for security and reliability.

What we don't do

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and contains no advertising or tracking pixels. That's why you haven't seen a cookie banner — there's nothing to consent to.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your enquiry. Legal basis: legitimate interests — responding to someone who has contacted us about our services.
  • To provide services under a contract, where you become a client. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To send business-to-business marketing to organisations we believe have a genuine interest in what we do. Legal basis: legitimate interests, as permitted for corporate subscribers under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations. Every such message identifies us and offers a way to opt out. Tell us to stop and we stop — no explanation needed.
  • To keep the site secure and working. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

  • Vercel — website hosting and server logs.
  • Resend — delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox. Resend sends via Amazon SES.
  • Google — our email is hosted with Google, so messages you send us rest there.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else except where the law requires it.

Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred abroad, it is protected by the safeguards in UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't become work: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Client records: for the duration of the engagement and 6 years afterwards, which is how long we're required to keep business records.
  • Server logs: short-term, as set by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete it
  • Restrict or object to how we use it — including any marketing, at any time
  • Transfer it to someone else in a portable format

Email forgentix@gmail.com and we'll respond within one month. There's no charge.

If you think we've handled your data badly, please tell us first — but you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
